  • September 4 - Mardi Gras - - Labor Day weekend's Saturday on the town - costume prizes, Cajun music, face painting, and refreshments - Mardi Gras fun the Haines way!

  • October through January - Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve Gathering - World's largest congregation of American Bald Eagles. Up to 4000 eagles gather along the banks of the Chilkat River to feast on spawning salmon
