The Port of Haines is simply the most beautiful port of the Inside Passage. Our docking facilities only allow for one large cruise ship and possibly a small ship. Unlike many other ports you may visit on your cruise, your ship will have Haines all to itself leaving you with the experience of the unhurried, relaxed atmosphere of a true Alaskan town.

The Port Chilkoot (PC) Dock is located directly in front of historical Fort William H. Seward and less than a half mile from "downtown' Haines. Shopping is abundant in Haines and our new Haines Shopping Brochure will show you the way to Haines' treasures you can take home.

A small kiosk with literature of area information is available on the PC Dock and the Visitor Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during your stay in Haines with friendly staff to answer your questions and provide additional area information. Tour operators will meet you on the shore side end of the pier for your tours and a shuttle service is also available in to town and through the Fort Seward area.
