The 150-mile Haines Highway connects Haines to the Alaska Highway in Haines Junction, Yukon.
Whitehorse - 250 miles
Anchorage - 750 miles
Fairbanks - 660 miles

Sea

Alaska Marine Highway - available year-round for passengers and vehicles.
Juneau - 2 ½ to 4 ½ hours (depending on which ferry vessel)
Skagway - 1 hour

Haines-Skagway Fast Ferry - passengers only, summer only (through September)
Skagway - 35 minutes

Getting around Haines is easy!

Most of Haines' hotels and attractions are within walking distance of each other. Car rentals available for those who do not choose to walk. Many accommodations have courtesy shuttles.
